Job Specifications


Nemco manufactures printed circuit boards, cables and electro mechanical assemblies.  We employ a variety of assembly workers who are graded according to their skills and abilities. We also employ a dedicated IPC-A-610 Instructor, so if you have relevant experience but no formal qualifications, we would still like to hear from you.  In all cases previous electronic assembly experience is essential.

Pcb and Cable Assembly Operator

Solder conventional components to IPC-A-610 or J Standard
Hand place surface mount components
Pre-form, insert and crop component leads using hand tools such as cutters, pliers, etc
Understand component identification such as resistors, capacitors and ICs
Work from assembly drawings and Boms (Bill of Materials)
Incorporate modifications such as wire links and track cuts
Hand place surface mount components
Understand the general requirements for pcb assembly and ESD

Re-worker

Must have the same basic skills as a pcb assembly operator
Be able to hand solder fine pitch surface mount components, remove bridges,
replace components etc.
Incorporate modifications such as wire links and track cuts
Must have knowledge of BGA, QFP, TSOP and multi leg PLCC’s and chip components down to size 0402

Inspector

Must have the same knowledge as a re-worker
Previous inspection experience to IPC-A-610 all classes
Be able to use inspection magnification equipment for most of the day
Able to operate an Automatic Optical Inspection machine desirable
Knowledge of Mirtec AOI an advantage

Surface Mount Machine Operator

Set up and run surface mount (smt) pick and place machines, screen printers and reflow ovens
Knowledge of Samsung CP45, CP40, Reprint AZX 400 printer would be an advantage
Must have fine pitch experience and preferably BGA
Understand smt component identification such as resistors, capacitors and ICs
Work from assembly drawings and Boms (Bill of Materials)
Understand the general quality requirements for surface mount assembly to IPC-A-610
Understand the general requirements for ESD

Stores Assistant

Must have knowledge of pcb component identification and packaging
Must have basic pc skills
Must be neat, tidy and organised with good attention to detail
Must be numerate
Understand the general requirements for ESD

Test Engineer

HNC or equivalent in electronic engineering
Knowledge of digital and analogue circuits
Familiar with a variety of automatic test equipment
Sound knowledge of standard test equipment
Fault finding to component level
Good pc skills
Some customer communication may be required

Production Engineer

HNC or equivalent in an Engineering discipline
Must have experience in a similar role
Must be able to provide front line support to volume assemblies
Ability to create internal assembly instruction documentation
Good communication skill to liaise at all levels both internally and with customers in a technical capacity
