MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB



To assist with purchasing and materials costings. Responsible for processing purchase orders.



MAIN DUTIES

  • Assist with MRP purchasing and ensure that correct materials are purchased within budgeted costs and on time, taking into account appropriate stock levels (stock turns), attrition factors and any other considerations due to customer or internal requirements.
  • Adhere to current purchasing policy but also keep commercially aware and ensure best cost of ownership to Nemco.
  • Process purchase orders using the Vantage stock control software. Ensure orders are loaded accurately and standard costs, and all relevant data is kept up to date.
  • Assist with materials costings. Working to achieve competitive quotations operating within the current purchasing framework. Materials quotations will be accurate to customer requirements and take into consideration Nemco production methods.
  • Working to ISO 9001 quality requirements.



    In addition the jobholder may be required to perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager from time to time.
