Flow Solder Machine Operator

£9.00 per hour

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To operate the Flow Solder Machines as per Company instructions and according to customer requirements.

MAIN DUTIES
 

  • To flow all loose load assembled boards.
  • Flow a first off, so that it can be checked by Inspection, for solder quality.
  • Be aware of and rectify any issues or defects resulting from the first off e.g. apply weights to ensure components do not rise up during the process.
  • Use the MES scanning system to record all work undertaken.
  • Be trained in the health and safety aspects of the flow solder machine, and ensure that all relevant PPE is available.
  • Report any defects with the flow solder machine, to your Supervisor or the Site Maintenance Engineer.
  • Carry out every day cleaning tasks, and follow procedure for the disposal of the dross.
  • Assist with the weekly and monthly maintenance on the flow solder machines.
  • Ensure the correct use of equipment in the work area.
  • Deputise for the Cleaning Tank Operator as required.
  • Be aware of the Cleaning Tank Operation, and safety aspects.
  • Keep work area clean and tidy.
  • Support the company’s continuous quality improvement programme.
  • Follow and uphold the Company’s environmental policy, procedures and instructions in order to minimize environmental impacts from its activities.
  • In addition the jobholder may be required to perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor/ manager from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS
 

Essential:

  • Experience with machine operating in a production environment.

Desirable:

  •  Knowledge and experience of Flow Solder machine.
  •  Experience working in an electronic manufacturing company.
