Nemco has been working closely with one of its customers to supply safety equipment for use throughout the rail network. This system has recently been installed on the legendary locomotive 60103 Flying Scotsman. After completion of a £4.2 million overhaul the iconic Flying Scotsman is again steaming through our countryside.
The LNER Class A3 “Pacific” steam locomotive was built in 1923 and appeared at the British Empire Exhibition in 1924 where it received much public attention. During its life “Flying Scotsman” has had several owners including Sir William McAlpine, Pete Waterman, Tony Marchington and now the National Railway Museum.
Nemco are proud to be associated with such a legendary locomotive and pleased to know that products manufactured at our Stevenage site are helping to keep the iconic “Flying Scotsman” on the tracks for many years to come.
