Nemco Ltd, the Stevenage, UK, based contract electronic manufacture (CEM) continue their investment program with the recent announcement of the purchase of three DEK SMT Paste Printing Machines.
The three new DEK Horizon 03iX SMT Paste Printing Machines with Hawkeye 750 post print verification printing system offer maximum flexibility, enabling adaptation to multiple manufacturing requirements. Nemco will benefit from a comprehensive array of sophisticated features, including optimised printer frame technology, fast product changeover, proven 6-sigma production performance, and 2 Cpk (process capability index) for its print process capability. A 2 Cpk score indicates a process that is accurate, repeatable and absolutely under control.
The integral HawkEye automatic print verification technology allows high speed paste-on-pad checking to highlight insufficient paste and prompt immediate corrective action. Faulty boards can be automatically isolated in real time.
John Thornley, Manufacturing Manager, Nemco, commented, “This investment in these 3 DEK machines will enhance our SMT solder paste printing capability resulting in faster throughput and improved solder quality repeatability. Our ongoing capital spend program has, at its core, the aim to meet the expanding requirements of our existing customers and extend our services to new customers.”
The continuing investment program is designed to further strengthen Nemco’s position as a leading UK based contract manufacturer offering a comprehensive range of services from product design to final production, including; prototyping; PCB population; test; e-mech assembly; and full product build, to such demanding markets as defence, medical, instrumentation and transport.
