Where potential lead time issue parts are identified Nemco will work with the prime suppliers to hold either underwritten buffer stocks at the supplier or safety stocks in our own warehouse.

These are controlled within the Epicor system and where parts fall below the requisite quantity the MRP system is triggered to initiate an additional purchase. Over the last few years this has been expanded into the availability of lineside or kanban stocks. In conjunction with a prime supplier some four hundred commonly used surface mount parts are continually held in the surface mount area ready for instant use. 

As parts are consumed automatic purchase requests are generated directly to the supplier who guarantees to replenish the stock used within forty eight hours. This facility can be extended to include other components and tailored to include specific manufacturers if required by the customer.
